An authorisation for export of narcotic and psychotropic drugs and medicinal substances

An authorisation is needed for each case of export of substances included into the Lists II and III (The Order by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania, No 5, 6 January 2000 On the Approval Lists of Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances (Official Gazette Valstybės žinios, No 4-113))
Procedure for granting the authorisation
Actions required
1. The service provider holding a licence to engage in wholesale trade, import and export of narcotic and psychotropic drugs and medicinal substances shall submit an application and the necessary documents; 2. The service provider pays an established stamp duty. 3. The competent authority examines the documents submitted. 4. The competent authority issues an authorisation.
Timeframe

The permit for export is issued within 10 days as of submission of the application.
Fees

The fee for narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances of medicinal products and the import and export authorizations- EUR 42,57 (LTL 147)

Required Documents
A company shall submit a request for an export authorisation including the information on: 1. The nature of intended operations; 2. Name, address, telephone and fax numbers of the importer; 3. Name, address, telephone and fax numbers of the exporter; 4. Name, form, dose, package and number of packages of a drug or medicinal substance and international non-proprietary name of the controlled substance contained in the product and total amount of it. 5. The time limit for the operation, means of transport and point of entry to bring the consignment. 6. An authorisation for export of narcotic and psychotropic drugs and medicinal substances is issued if an import permit from the importing country is presented. Date of issue, number and name of the issuing body of the import authorisation should be indicated in the export permit.
